Obituary of Richard Alexander Bowman

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Richard Alexander Bowman announces his sudden passing on November 27, 2025, at the age of 56. Richard was born on February 7, 1969, in Ajax, ON, and was a Licensed Minister with the United Pentecostal Church for 32 years, faithfully serving God and others with unwavering devotion. His life was marked by love, service, and steadfast faith.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Bonnie Lynn (Boyd) Bowman, with whom he shared a deep and enduring love. Their marriage was a testament to commitment and partnership, and Richard’s devotion to Bonnie was evident to all who knew him. He also leaves behind his two sons, Kyle Alexander and Brody Lee (Lillian Calzavara), both of whom he loved wholeheartedly and of whom he was incredibly proud.

Richard will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Gail (Miller) Doucette, and by his two brothers, David Bowman and Ewan (Bonnie) Bowman. He will also be deeply missed by his father and mother-in-law, Rev. Bruce and Jean Boyd. He is also survived by his loving brothers- and sisters-in-law, along with several cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Peter Bowman, and his stepfather, Alfred Doucette.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Richard spent much of his life on the road, working as a trucker—a profession he not only excelled in but truly loved. For many years, he worked with Fero, where he was well respected by his colleagues. His strong work ethic, reliability, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on everyone around him.

Above all else, Richard loved God. His faith guided every aspect of his life. He gave his all—heart, soul, and strength—to serving and loving the Lord. His example of faithfulness, humility, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Richard will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coworkers, church family, and everyone blessed to have known him. His laughter, kindness, and steadfast love for others will remain treasured memories.

May his legacy live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and may he rest in the eternal peace of the God he faithfully served.
