Obituary of Judy Brewster

Judith Maureen (Kellow) Brewster - 69 -Saint John passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital July 21, 2025. Born in Sussex and raised in Belleisle Creek, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Vail) Kellow.

Judy spent many happy hours listening to the music of her mother, Uncle Randy, and many other talented musicians in the community. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many hours spent with a variety of books. She had a wide range of knowledge and insight from her reading. She also enjoyed spending time with her plants. She always kept a beautiful garden and took pride in her flowers and veggies. A highlight of each year for Judy was the cousin reunions held in the summer. Family was important to her, and she enjoyed beating any of them in a game of dice. A keen business lady, she was a partner in T. Donovan and Son until health issues required retirement. She was very much involved with the Red Head Strays Cat Society, helping care for stray cats in the local area.

She is survived by her sister Tamara (Glenn) MacKinnon, nephews Daniel and Zachary (Adriana Magana), great-nephew James, Uncle Randall Vail, Aunt Peggy Barsoski, many loved cousins and a close circle of trusted and helpful friends. Her neighbors were an invaluable asset to her, and both Judy and the family are very appreciative for all their help in so many ways.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), Norton, NB where the visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
