Obituary of Carol Tobin

It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Ann Tobin (Hoar) announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, July 20th, 2025 at the Sussex Health Centre, Sussex, NB.  Born in Sussex, NB on November 17, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Hughie and Ella (Crossman) Hoar.

Carol is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas Tobin of Moosehorn Creek, NB; children: Michael Tobin (Laura) of Belleisle Creek, NB, Corey Tobin (Cheol Min Kim) of Fredericton, NB, Matthew Tobin (Tammy) of Searsville, NB, and Brian Tobin of Moosehorn Creek, NB; sister Donna Frechette (Darin) of Saint John, NB; brother Franny Crossman (Marjory) & family of Coles Island, NB; grandchildren: Haley (Adam), Kayla (Brently), Mateo, and Cody; her two precious great-granddaughters Ella and Kylie; nephews: Ryan (Toni) and Shane (Allison). Carol is also survived by her large extended Tobin family and by her fur babies that she loved so much, Lily, Toby and Bella.

Carol was passionate about anything that had to do with her family. If it had been a while, you could expect that there would be a message from her, checking in. She made everyone around her feel loved, and important. She always put everyone else first. Carol loved deeply, laughed loudly and will be greatly missed!

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), Norton, NB. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26th from 2-4 at Up to Par in Norton, NB. Donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Lung Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
