Obituary of Eva Cunningham

It is with sadness that the family of Eva Marie Cunningham announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at her residence.  She was born on July 26, 1958, in Hamilton, ON, a daughter of the late Ken and Shirley (Long) Somerville.

Eva is survived by her loving husband of almost 33 years, Ron Cunningham; daughter Danielle Smith (Rick) of Moncton, NB; son Denny Somerville of Hamilton, ON; grandson Jaimen; brother John (Carol) Somerville; aunts Muriel Long, Marion (Ron) Frail, Deby Long; uncle Mike (Florence) Kelly; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Cheryl Jones and uncle, Francie Long.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Corrie Doucette and Donna Bowie for their many years of unwavering friendship, love, and support to Eva. Your presence in Eva’s life brought great joy, comfort, and companionship, and your friendship meant the world to her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, and will be held privately.  Donations in memory of Eva may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
