It is with great sadness that the family of Hazel Margaret Brown announce her peaceful passing which occurred in the early morning, Friday, June 13, 2025 at Mill Cove Nursing Home, with family by her side. Born in Lower Millstream, NB on February 1, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Eules and Evelyn (Keirstead) Smith.
Hazel was born in Lower Millstream, NB, where she attended school then graduating from Sussex High School. Hazel went to Teacher’s College in Fredericton. They courted for about a year before they were married. After the birth of their three children they moved to Collina NB. Hazel was a member of the W.I. in Berwick, Young at Heart in Belleisle and an active member of Collina Baptist Church, although she would often frequent the Pentecostal Church in Sussex and Hatfield Point.
