Obituary of Josephine Scribner

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Josephine Estella Scribner, age 91, of Hampton, NB, which occurred at the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was the wife of the late Francis Scribner and daughter of the late Gilbert and Regina (Boyd) Morrell.

Josephine is survived by her son Alan Scribner of Avon, CT; daughter Cynthia Scribner of Hatfield Point, NB; grandchildren Rebecca, Kaelee and Jessica (Justin); great grandchildren Lana Rae, Ethan, Mazelynn, Lettie, Laycee; sisters: Lois Matheson, Linda (Ken) Haines, Betty (Les) Ducey; brother Fraser (Cathy) Morrell; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Francis, she was also predeceased by brothers Philip Morrell and Lee Morrell.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from noon to 1pm. The funeral service will take place at 1:00pm from Sherwood’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Bayview Cemetery.
