Obituary of Clarence Pearson
Surrounded by his family, Clarence Ralph Pearson peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Highfield, NB, on November 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Ralph and Freda (Fenwick) Pearson.
Clarence married Martina (Gordon) in 1965 and together they raised their three children in Highfield. Clarence retired from the D.O.T. in Coles Island. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially his beef cattle. His grandchildren were a great joy to Clarence, and he loved them deeply.
Clarence is survived by his children: Tracey McKnight (David) of Codys, NB, Karen Hynes (Paul) of Roachville, NB and Ralph Pearson (Carrie) of Wards Creek, NB; grandchildren: Chad, Adam (Josh), Evan (Jillian), Rebecca (Neil), Ian (Alica), Mitchell, Laura, Dana, Hilary (Lucas), Mackenzie (Austin) and Delanie (Sam); as well as two great grandchildren, Maddox and Fynn; brother Hoyt Pearson of Highfield, NB; sisters: Hilda Gillies of Searsville, NB and Flora Gamblin (Don) of Saint John, NB; sisters-in-law: Linda McCullum (Clifton) of Sussex, NB and Jean Grant of Halifax, NS; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his loving wife Martina Pearson, brother Howard Pearson, sister-in-law Elizabeth Pearson, brothers-in-law Myles Gillies and Neil Grant.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 3:00 pm from Sherwood’s Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Highfield, NB.
