Obituary of Gerald Carpenter

It is with sadness that the family of Gerald Fraser Carpenter, husband of the late Florence "Floss" (Boyle) Carpenter of Kars, NB announce his death which occurred on April 2, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 91. He was born on March 9, 1934 in Tennants Cove, NB, a son of the late Albert & Myrtle (Vanwart) Carpenter.

Gerald is survived by his siblings: Raymond (Bonnie) Carpenter of Fredericton, NB, Doreen Belyea of Wickham, NB, Vi Marr of Wickham, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers Hazen, Murray, and Alfred.

Gerald will be remembered fondly for his phone calls, visits and meals spent reminiscing with family and friends. For his quick wit and wry sense of humour and for the twinkle in his eye and sly little grin he would have when he got you with one of his stories. He truly will be missed.  

Arrangements are entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB and will be held privately. Interment will take place in Tennants Cove Cemetery, Kars NB.
