Obituary of Ethel Cyr

It is with sad hearts that the family of Ethel Florence Cyr announce her passing on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Mill Cove Nursing Home, Mill Cove, NB. Born on July 5, 1938, in Belleisle Creek, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ruby (Vail) Long.

Ethel is survived by her children, Darcy Cyr (Dawn) of North Augusta, ON and Robin Cyr of Whitby, ON; brother Reid Long (Gladys) of Belleisle Creek, NB; sisters: Sharon O’Connell (Dennis) of Oshawa, ON and Donna Bodden of Oshawa, ON; grandchildren Kristin Cyr and Matthew Cyr; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ethel was predeceased by her husband, Ivan Cyr and brother-in-law Dave Bodden.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. The funeral service will take place on April 17, 2025 at 11:00am from the Belleisle Creek Baptist Church (19 Church Lane Belleisle Creek, NB)
