Obituary of Garry Carpenter

It is with deep sadness that the family of Garry Clark Carpenter announce his passing which occurred on March 13, 2025, at home in Wickham, NB.  Born in Sussex, NB on June 29, 1975, he was the son of Garry Sr and Jackie (Masters) Carpenter.

Garry was not only a husband, a son, an uncle, and a friend – he was a man that made this world a better place. He had the biggest heart – always willing to lend a hand and ready to help someone in need. Strangers were drawn to his presence, often striking up conversations wherever he went.

He had a knack for telling stories that could make you laugh until you cried, especially when it was followed by his infectious laugh and smile.

He loved the open road, whether on his Panhead or behind the wheel, always embracing the freedom and adventure it brought. His love for playing guitar came later in life; his guitar was never far from his hands.

But above all, Garry’s greatest joy was his children – the heart and soul of everything he did. They were his purpose, his pride, and now, his most beautiful legacy.

Garry is survived by his loving wife Meliza (Morris) Carpenter; his precious children Lucinda and Garry Carpenter; sisters: Lorraine Marr (Mark) of Wickham NB, and Sandra Smith of Wickham, NB; uncles: Don & Joy Carpenter, Jack & Jocelyn Carpenter and Bruce Carpenter all of Wickham, NB; father and mother-in-law, Armand Vienneau and Lilianne Morris; brother-in-law Quentin Vienneau as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; many cousins and so many friends. Garry was predeceased by his grandparents, brother-in-law Martin Smith and aunt Marg Carpenter.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton.  A celebration of Garry’s life will occur on Sunday, March 23rd from 1pm to 5 pm, at the Belleisle Community Centre, located at 1648 Route 124, Springfield. Donations in memory of Garry may be made to the Sussex Extra Mural or Saint John Regional Hospital Oncology Department.
